Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the service:

• Account information: email address and name, provided when you sign up via Clerk.
• Usage data: number of API requests made, timestamps, and URLs submitted for processing.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information for security and abuse prevention.

We do not collect payment card details. Payments are processed by Paddle, which has its own privacy policy.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Purify API service.
• To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse.
• To send transactional emails, including account, API key, and billing notices.
• To improve the service based on aggregate usage patterns.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Third-Party Services

We use third-party providers that may process your data:

• Clerk — authentication and user account management.
• Paddle — payment processing and subscription management.
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure.

Each provider maintains its own privacy policy and security standards. We are not responsible for their data practices.

URLs You Submit

When you use the Purify API, you submit URLs for processing. These URLs are processed in real time and are not permanently stored beyond what is necessary for abuse detection and rate limiting. We do not read, analyze, or retain the content of the pages you scrape.

Data Retention

We retain account information while your account is active. Usage logs are retained for up to 90 days. If you delete your account, personal data will be removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Your Rights

You may at any time:

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.

Security

We implement measures including HTTPS encryption, secure API key storage, and access controls. However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and are not liable for unauthorized access caused by factors outside our reasonable control.

We may update this Privacy Policy. Significant changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
