We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the service:

• —Usage data: number of API requests made, timestamps, and URLs submitted for processing.
• —Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information for security and abuse prevention.

We do not collect payment card details. Payments are processed by Paddle, which has its own privacy policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

• —To provide and maintain the Purify API service.
• —To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse.
• —To send transactional emails (account creation, API key delivery, billing notices).
• —To improve the service based on aggregate usage patterns.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• —Clerk (clerk.com) — authentication and user account management.
• —Paddle — payment processing and subscription management.
• —Vercel — hosting and infrastructure.

Each of these providers maintains their own privacy policies and security standards. We are not responsible for their data practices.

4. URLs You Submit

When you use the Purify API, you submit URLs for processing. These URLs are processed in real time and are not permanently stored beyond what is necessary for abuse detection and rate limiting. We do not read, analyze, or retain the content of the pages you scrape.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Usage logs are retained for up to 90 days. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights

You may at any time:

• —Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• —Request correction of inaccurate data.
• —Request deletion of your account and associated data.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure API key storage, and access controls. However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and are not liable for unauthorized access resulting from factors outside our reasonable control.
