Acceptable Use

Permitted Uses

You may use the service to:

• Scrape publicly accessible web pages that do not require authentication.
• Convert web content into clean data for AI, LLM, search, and data workflows.
• Extract structured data from public sources for commercial or non-commercial purposes.
• Build applications, tools, and services that integrate with the Purify API.
• Use the self-hosted version under the Apache 2.0 license.

Prohibited Uses

You may not use the service to:

• Bypass access controls, authentication, paywalls, or CAPTCHAs on target websites.
• Scrape or collect personal data without a lawful basis.
• Conduct denial-of-service attacks, load testing, or deliberate abuse against a target.
• Circumvent rate limits or usage quotas, including through multiple accounts or key rotation.
• Resell or sublicense API access without prior written consent.
• Scrape websites in violation of their terms or robots.txt directives when this would be unlawful.
• Engage in activity that violates applicable local, national, or international laws.
• Distribute malware, phishing content, or harmful material using extracted data.

Monitoring and Enforcement

We monitor API usage patterns for abuse. If usage violates this policy, we may:

• Issue a warning and request corrective action.
• Temporarily suspend API access during an investigation.
• Permanently terminate an account and revoke its API keys.
• Report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities.

If you believe someone is using Purify in violation of this policy, email hello@purify.verifly.pro. Include relevant URLs and timestamps.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
